Project Oaktree
We are starting something that has been named Project Oaktree; The Yellow Ribbon Campaign. Our goal is for every person, vehicle and business, and maybe a tree or two to have yellow ribbons. We feel that regardless of wether or not we support the war, we should be supporting our troops.
All of our local military recruiters are getting together tomorrow to cut a radio commercial with the challenge for our community to put on a yellow ribbon. The newspapers are going to be there and it is going to be big.
My favor is please get a yellow ribbon. Wear one on your jacket, put one on the antenna on your vehicle and put one on your house. Spread the news. We want our soldiers to know that we are supporting them. Lets have them come home from this war to ticker tape parades and lots and lots of yellow ribbons.
This is a cause that we can all do something about. Try putting on a yellow ribbon and see how good it feels.

Whether you do or do not like George W. Bush as our President, this message reveals some interesting plateaus he has reached.
First, an observation. Have you noticed a difference in the salute given by our military men and women as President Bush walks by? Most folks would not notice anything, but those of us who have served in the military see it right away. Next time pay close attention when President Bush leaves his helicopter or Air Force One, the honor guards salute and face him as he disembarks, then turn their faces towards him as he passes by. They continue to salute his back as he walks away.

Great Idea
Post Offices in Texas
You may have heard in the news that a couple of Post Offices in Texas have been forced to take down small posters that say "IN GOD WE TRUST." The law they say they are violating is something silly about electioneering posters. (Is God running for office?)
Anyway, I heard proposed on a radio station show, that we all write "IN GOD WE TRUST" on the back of all our mail. After all, that is our National motto, and on all the money we use to buy those stamps.
