Friend of the Court Brief
Help save The Pledge of Allegiance...
IS THE CONSERVATIVE VOICE OF THE PEOPLE BEING SILENCED REGARDING THE PLEDGE?
Grassfire.net has just received word that the same three judges who initially ruled against the Pledge of Allegiance a few months ago denied our "Friend of the Court" brief that we submitted on behalf of 15,000 Pledge supporters who joined our brief! Similarly, several other conservative-based organizations also had their "Friend of the Court" briefs denied.
This case is far too important for the Ninth Circuit Court to isolate themselves from a nation and people who are demanding action! Right now tens of millions of citizens and millions more children remain in the dark over the Pledge of Allegiance while the court, which is under no deadline to rehear the case, sits strangely silent!
We believe it's their duty to respond to the pleas of the American people, and are asking for your help in three very important ways:
ACTION ITEM #1 SIGN OUR "FRIEND OF THE COURT BRIEF"
The Court rejected our brief co-signed by 15,000 citizens. We want to re-submit the brief with 30,000 signatures to show these judges that citizens want their voice heard in this case! HELP US OVERWHELM THE COURT BY JOINING OUR "FRIEND OF THE COURT" BRIEF. THERE IS NO CHARGE, BUT YOU MUST Click here TO JOIN THE BRIEF FILING.
ACTION ITEM #2 CALL OR WRITE THE COURT
Please call or write the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Here's what you should say:
- Tell them that you support the Pledge of Allegiance, and signed Grassfire.net's "Friend of the Court" brief which was recently denied.
- Register your objection, and urge them to accept Grassfire.net's brief, which is being re-filed.
- And most importantly, demand the court make a decision on this critical case.
Address:
Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals
95 Seventh Street

ATTN: Court Clerk (Case No. 00-16423)

ACTION ITEM #3 TELL YOUR FRIENDS!
We are convinced the court won't act unless we compel them to do so. That's why we are urging you to continue keeping this issue fresh in the minds of your friends and family. PLEASE SEND THIS MESSAGE TO 20-30 OF YOUR FRIENDS OR FAMILY. RALLY THEM TO STAND WITH YOU FOR BOTH GOD AND COUNTRY BY CLICKING BELOW: http://gfir.ws/14/pledge.asp?PID=2863544
This issue demands resolution, and we are committed to making that happen, with your help! Thank you and God Bless! Your Friends at Grassfire.net
Real Impact. Real Feedback. Real Results.
P.S.: We will be resubmitting our "Friend of the Court" brief within the next several days and we need another 15,000 signers to make an impact on the Court. Please join the Brief, call the court and alert your friends!

For All U.S. Troops Everywhere
Look, I could share both points of view with you today, but I won't. No matter if you're pro- or anti-war, let's take a moment to pray for our troops...
Please send this on after a short prayer.
Prayer wheel for our soldiers...
Prayer Wheel:
"Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen."
Fly Me
FLY ME EVERY DAY AND MAKE ME PROUD
I am the flag of the United States of America.
My name is Old Glory.
I fly atop the world's tallest buildings.
I stand watch in America's halls of justice.
I fly majestically over institutions of learning.
I stand guard with power in the world.
Look up and see me.
I stand for peace, honor, truth and justice.
I stand for freedom.
I am confident.
I am arrogant.
I am proud.

Dear American Soldier

Dear American soldier,
You don't know me, but I know who you are, and I will not forget.
You are deploying from Fort Carson and Fort Hood and Fort Bliss and Fort Stewart. You hail from Middletown and Middleboro and Greenville and Redding and Thousand Oaks and Maple Tree. You are white, black, brown and yellow -- but always Americans first.
The Average Military Man
The average age of the military man is 19 years. He is a short haired, tight-muscled kid who, under normal circumstances is considered by society as half man, half boy. Not yet dry behind the ears, not old enough to buy a beer, but old enough to die for his country.
He never really cared much for work and he would rather wax his own car than wash his father's; but he has never collected unemployment either. He's a recent High School graduate; he was probably an average student, pursued some form of sport activities, drives a ten year old jalopy, and has a steady girlfriend that either broke up with him when he left, or swears to be waiting when he returns from half a world away.
ADAPT!!
SOMEONE FINALLY SAID IT! Hip Hip Hooray!! Finally, someone has said what I think has been on every American's mind!!!!! This is an editorial written by an American citizen, published in a local newspaper.
"IMMIGRANTS, NOT AMERICANS, MUST ADAPT!!"
I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture, here in the USA. Since the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Americans. However, the dust from the attacks had barely settled when the "politically correct" crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others.
A Powerful Story
From a speech made by Capt. John S. McCain, US, (R) who represents Arizona in the U.S. Senate:
As you may know, I spent five and one half years as a prisoner of war during the Vietnam War. In the early years of our imprisonment, the NVA kept us in solitary confinement or two or three to a cell. In 1971, the NVA moved us from these conditions of isolation into large rooms with as many as 30 to 40 men to a room. This was, as you can imagine, a wonderful change and was a direct result of the efforts of millions of Americans on behalf of a few hundred POWs 10,000 miles from home.
Andy Rooney Quote
CBS "60 Minutes" commentator Andy Rooney has become the first big media personality to admit that he was wrong to oppose President Bush's decision to liberate Iraq.
"I have not been a supporter of his. I did not vote for him. And I was very critical of what he did here," Rooney told radio host Don Imus Thursday morning. "And I must say that fortunately, he's president and I'm not," the former Stars and Stripes correspondent confessed. "It appears as though he did the right thing and I didn't think he was doing the right thing...."
America's History Forgotten
Did you know that 52 of the 55 signers of the Declaration of Independence were orthodox, deeply committed Christians? The other three believed in the Bible as the divine truth, the God of scripture, and His personal intervention.
It is the same Congress that formed the American Bible Society.
Immediately after creating the Declaration of Independence, the Continental Congress voted to purchase and import 20,000 copies of the scripture for the people of this nation.
9/11 Day of Remembrance
Submitted by David
My son came up to me today and asked me about 9/11. This is what he asked and how I responded.
"Dad, is 9/11 a holiday?"
"Not officially. But as far as I am concerned it is."
"Is it like Patriots Day? I see alot of flags."
"It's a little like Patriots Day. For both celebrate being American and what that stands for."
"Then, is it like Veterans Day? I hear people talking about soldiers and stuff."
